Torrington community health center to open Winsted office

WINSTED — Torrington’s Community Health and Wellness Center will open an office at 115 Spencer St., home of the Winsted Health Center, during the new year.

The organization operates a facility in Torrington and gives low-income residents access to health services on a sliding scale.

“We knew there was a great need for our services in Winsted, Chief Financial Officer Dan Clemons said. “We have a good amount of patients from the town and we want to provide easier access for them.

Clemons said he did not have an exact date for when the office would open, nor did he want to say which doctors would be at the office.

“I don’t know all of the specifics, but I do know we will be offering regular adult medical services to a wide range of patients, he said. “I don’t know if we will be offering pediatric medical services.

Also yet to be determined is how many days a week the office will be open.
