Nikolaos Lymperopoulos

LITCHFIELD — Nikolaos Lymperopoulos, 40, of Litchfield, died suddenly on April 1, 2010. His loving wife, Gail (Sullivan) Leifert Lymperopoulos of Winsted, survives at home.

Born May 20, 1969, in Athens, Greece, he was the son of Maria and Kayriakos Lymperopoulos.

Mr. Lymperopoulos was remembered as a gracious host and respected entrepreneur who managed the popular DaCapo Restaurant of Litchfield and Avon.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Lymperopoulos is survived by a stepson, Jeremy Leifert and his wife, Stephanie; a brother, sister-in-law and his extended family in Greece; and many close friends and colleagues. He was predeceased by his stepmother.

Visitation was held April 6 at Rowe Funeral Home, Litchfield. Funeral services will take place in Greece. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 1 Union St., Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ  08691.

Magic Fluke Ukulele Shop and True Wheels Bicycle Shop are not only under the same roof in a beautiful solar powered building on Route 7 in Sheffield, but they are also both run by the Webb family, telling a tale of familial passion, innovation and a steadfast commitment to sustainability.

In the late ‘90s, Dale Webb was working in engineering and product design at a corporate job. “I took up instrument manufacturing as a fun challenge,” said Dale. After an exhibit at The National Association of Music Merchants in Anaheim, California, in 1999, The Magic Fluke company was born. “We were casting finger boards and gluing these things together in our basement in New Hartford and it just took off,” Dale explained. “It was really a wild ride, it kind of had a life of its own.”
