WINSTED —  The Winsted Fire Department held its 154th carnival from Wednesday, Aug. 17 through Saturday, Aug. 20 at the fair grounds on Rowley Street.

Each night of the carnival, it was no easy feat to find a parking place as cars filled up the Rowley Street Playground parking lot and continued down Route 44. 

Many families return each year for the end of summer celebration to enjoy rides, games, cotton candy and fried dough.
