WINSTED — Despite harsh winter weather conditions on Saturday, Jan. 7, and Sunday, Jan. 8, the show went on for the 27th annual Boar’s Head Festival at the First Church of Winsted. 

For many, the festival represents a family tradition and the proper end to the Christmas season.

According to organizers, the Jan. 8 performance was the more attended as a packed house came out to enjoy Christmas caroling, live animals, a Scottish sword dancer and handcrafted period costumes during an interactive performance.
