Steve Blass retires from booth after 60 years with the Pirates

FALLS VILLAGE — Steve Blass Day was celebrated on Saturday, Sept. 28, in Pittsburgh, Pa., as officially proclaimed by Mayor Bill Peduto. 

The Pirates organization and 21,084 fans at PNC Park paid tribute to his more than a half century of dedication to the team. The 1971 World Series hero has been a color commentator for the Pirates since the conclusion of his playing days.
