Lower Mill Road will flood no more

NORTH EAST — Flooding on Lower Mill Road has been a problem that’s plagued the town of North

East for years. Soon, thanks to a culvert replacement project that’s going on right now, flooding will be a thing of the past.

“It’s a big project,” acknowledged North East town Supervisor George Kaye, who explained that because there was so much rain last fall, the project had to be delayed until this summer — meaning more money will have to be spent eventually.
