Celebrating the beauty of vintage cars with a parade

FALLS VILLAGE — At about a quarter to five on Thursday afternoon, Aug. 29, the vintage car parade from Lime Rock Park rolled into the downtown area of Falls Village, having completed the circuit through Salisbury and Lakeville.

Sophie Allen, on stilts and waving a black-and-white checkered flag, welcomed the drivers. Her mentor, Mark Alexander, stayed close, but the young stilt walker had it under control. Alexander is the head of the stilt-walking troupe known as Mortal Beasts and Deities.
