Even leaving the windows open doesn’t keep your car cool for pets

Dogs in cars are as American as apple pie and baseball. We love our pets and like to think they would be sad at home without us. While this might be true, it’s not safe to leave them in the car while you do your errands. Not even for a minute. Not even with the windows open.

This information and exhortation comes from the Humane Society of the United States. It’s been particularly hot this summer, so their warning is even more urgent this year than normal.
