WASSIC — The Wassaic firehouse was hopping at its annual Amenia Senior Picnic on Saturday, July 27.

Starting at noon, there was a full house of senior citizens who stopped by for an afternoon of good company, a delicious lunch and door prizes. Lunch included a full buffet of grilled chicken, baked beans, macaroni and cheese, salad and more, and music was provided by Wayne Targove on piano.

All funds raised from the picnic’s annual 50/50 raffle went to benefit the Amenia Senior Recreation program.
