For two locals, you can’t beat playing ball for a living

The  Northwest Corner’s links to big time baseball are gleefully and doggedly pursuing their dreams this summer.

Willy Yahn of Sharon and Wills Montgomerie of Salisbury are playing in the minor leagues, Yahn in the Baltimore Orioles organization and Montgomerie in the Los Angeles Dodgers system.

Montgomerie, a graduate of the Salisbury School, was selected in the sixth round (190th overall), while Yahn, a graduate of Housatonic Valley Regional High School, was chosen in the 25th round by the Baltimore Orioles in the 2017 draft.
