KENT — This year’s Kent Memorial Library fundraiser, held at  Birch Top Farm, was promoted as a Top of the World party. The location was as close as one can get in South Kent to living up to the name. The property is within a foot or two of the 1,200 foot summit of Geer Mountain.

There, on Saturday, June 22, Lisa and Bill Hoadley hosted the library party and auction, and what a party it was. A close estimate put the registered guest list at 325, and a steady stream of unregistered, and equally welcome, guests brought the number closer to 350.
