How does your garden grow?

The after school program’s second and third grade students worked together to weed and plant new plants and seedlings in the Webutuck School Garden. With a mighty tug, Joseph Ducillo, 8, pulled a handful of weeds out of the garden’s well-tended beds on Thursday, May 16.

WEBUTUCK — Students enrolled in the North East Community Center’s (NECC) After School program had the perfect spring day to celebrate the grand opening of the Webutuck School Garden with a garden party on Thursday, May 16. 

Following their arrival to the garden behind Webutuck High School at 3:30 p.m., the students were divided into two groups: one with after school students in kindergarten and first grade and another with students in second and third grade.
