Auto renewal takes the pain out of library returns

MILLERTON — It can — and does — happen all too easily. A book is borrowed — perhaps even several. DVDs are needed for a coming rainy day or snow storm. A book beckons but sits still unopened. 

And then, in the words of NorthEast-Millerton Library Director Rhiannon Leo-Jameson, “life gets in the way.” And there they sit either forgotten or begging to be taken back to the library on the busiest of days. But in either case, there they sit — collecting fine after fine after fine.
