FALLS VILLAGE — The Agriculture Education Department at Housatonic Valley Regional High School welcomed two baby goats and one lamb last week.

The lamb is named Onyx after its color scheme (all black). Onyx was born on May 1, and weighed in at a hearty 13 pounds, roughly double the usual weight of a newborn lamb, according to teacher Karen Davenport.

The goats, one a sort of beige color and one black, were born on April 29. They are named Sparky (born during a fire drill) and Siren (because the goat is very talkative).
