STANFORDVILLE — Darren C. Good, 44, passed away on Sept. 7, 2011.He was born in Queens, N.Y., on May 16, 1967, the son of Richard F. Good of Stanfordville and the late Sarah J. “Sally” (McReynolds) Good.He was the head cook for Home Plate in Stanfordville.He was a 1985 graduate of Stissing Mountain High School. In addition to his loving father Richard, he is survived by a sister, Michelle H. Jarvis of Sanibel, Fla.; a brother, Craig M. Good of Maryville, Tenn.; two nieces, Paige and Ainsley Good; and two nephews, Gavin Good and Aidan Jarvis. He was predeceased by his mother, Sally, in 1997.A Mass of Christian burial was held Sept. 13 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Bangall, N.Y., the Rev. John Bida officiating.Interment followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bangall.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Water main cleaning in North Canaan

Blues legend Robert Cray will be bringing his stinging, funky guitar and soulful singing to Infinity Hall Norfolk on Friday, March 29.

A five-time Grammy winner, Cray has been inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame and earned The Americana Music Awards Lifetime Achievement for Performance. He has played with blues and rock icons including Albert Collins, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, The Rolling Stones, Tina Turner, Eric Clapton and many more.

Cabaret comes to St. Andrew's in Kent

Music in the Nave will again tap into local talent April 6 at 7 p.m. when its features George Potts in an intimate cabaret concert in the St. Andrew’s Church parish house.

Pott is a well-known figure in the community, both through his presence in the perennially popular Fife ‘n Drum, the restaurant started by his father-in-law, renowned pianist Dolph Trayman, and through his own career as a folk musician.
