Kevin Bacon pledges his support for Five Points plan

TORRINGTON —  Actor and Sharon resident Kevin Bacon has signed on as the honorary chairman for Five Points Gallery’s upcoming fundraising drive.

Five Points is a nonprofit organization in Torrington founded in 2012. It has a gallery and provides education programs at three sites in town. 

In December, the gallery group made a deal to purchase the former University of Connecticut campus in Torrington. The plan is to turn it into an arts education center.
