2018: Epic ice jams on the Housatonic River

It wasn’t even as rainy and wet in 2017 as it had been in 2018; nonetheless, the Housatonic River not only overflowed but also had epic ice jams at the beginning of the year. 

The river froze deeply in January and when the ice began to break up it did so with massive blocks of multi-layered ice.
