CANAAN FIRE DISTRICT

Sewer use charges are due in a single payment on January 1, 2019 and within one month. Any portion unpaid after February 1, 2019 will become delinquent and subject to an interest charge of 1.5% per month. Payments may be made to the Tax Collector’s Office in the Town Hall at 100 Pease Street, North Canaan. During the month of January we will be open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays from 9-12 and 1-4 PM, Closed Tuesday, January 1 & Friday, February 1, open Monday, December 31. All Town Hall offices are closed on Fridays. Payments may be mailed to 100 Pease Street #5, North Canaan, Connecticut 06018. For your convenience a drop box for payments is located in front of the Town Hall. Pay online <\@> www.northcanaan.org As soon as any tax becomes delinquent, it shall be subject to interest at the rate of one-half percent of such tax for each month or fraction thereof which elapses from the time when such tax becomes due and payable until the same is paid. TOWN OF CANAAN

Pursuant to Sec. 12-145 of the Connecticut statutes, the Tax Collector, Town of Canaan gives notice that she will be ready to receive Supplemental Motor Vehicle taxes and the 2nd installment of Real Estate & Personal Property taxes due January 1, 2019 at the Canaan Town Hall, PO Box 47, 108 Main St., Falls Village, CT 06031. Monday’s 9-12, 1-4 and Wednesdays 9-Noon.

Payments must be received or postmarked by February 1, 2019 to avoid interest. The office will not be open on Friday Feb. 1st.

All taxes remaining unpaid after February 1, 2019 will be charged interest from January 1, 2019 at the rate of 1.5% for each month from the due date of the delinquent tax to the date of payment, with a minimum interest charge of $2.00. Sec. 12-146

Failure to receive a tax bill does not relieve the taxpayer of their responsibility for the payment of taxes or delinquent charges. Sec.12-30.

TOWN OF SALISBURY CT

Pursuant to Sec 12-145 of the Connecticut State Statutes, the taxpayers of the Town of Salisbury are hereby notified that the third installment on the Grand List of October 1, 2017 is due and payable on January 1, 2019. Pursuant to Section 12-71b of the Connecticut State Statutes, the Supplemental Motor Vehicle tax is due on January 1, 2019. Payments must be received or post marked by February 1, 2019. If said Real Estate, Personal Property and Supplemental Motor Vehicle taxes are not paid on or before February 1, 2019, interest at the rate of one and one half percent (18% per year) will be added for each month or a fraction thereof which elapses from the time when such tax becomes due and payable until the same is paid. Minimum interest charge is $2.00.

TOWN OF KENT

The second installment of the Real Estate and Personal Property tax and the Motor Vehicle Supplemental tax for the Grand List of 2017 is due and payable January 1, 2019. The second installment of the Real Estate and Personal Property tax and the Motor Vehicle Supplemental tax for the Grand List of 2017 will become delinquent on February 2nd, 2019.

As soon as the tax becomes delinquent, it shall be subject to interest at the rate of one and a half percent per month from the time such tax becomes due and payable until the same is paid.

 The Tax Collector’s office will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday during the month of January as Well as Friday, February l, 2019. Payment is also Welcome through the mail at P.O. Box 311, Kent, CT 06757.

 Notice is hereby given to all taxpayers of the Town of North Canaan, Connecticut that the second installment of taxes on the Grand List of October 1, 2017 will become due and payable on January 1, 2019 and will become delinquent if not paid on or before February 1, 2019. The motor vehicle supplement bills for vehicles newly registered after October 1, 2017 will become due and payable January 1, 2019. If you have received a supplemental bill you are responsible to pay the 2nd half of your 2017 Grand List Motor Vehicle bill (received July 2018) also as well as the supplemental bill. They will become delinquent if not paid by February 1, 2019.

Pursuant to Section 12-145 of the Connecticut General Statutes, notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the TOWN OF CORNWALL that the second half payment on the Grand List of October 1, 2017 is due January 1, 2019.
