Parade of Lights and tree lighting bring holiday cheer

AMENIA — With the holiday spirit appearing on every corner, the town of Amenia and hamlet of Wassaic rang in the holidays with the town’s annual Parade of Lights on Friday, Dec. 7, and the hamlet’s annual tree lighting on Saturday, Dec. 8.

On parade night, families shivered against the chilly night as they waited for the annual spectacle to begin. Meanwhile, police officers directed evening traffic through town, setting up orange cones to mark the route.
