Ice cream brings us together

WINSTED — Winsted native Terry Winn says that ice cream is a food that crosses generational boundaries.

“It’s part of the culture for everyone in a family,” Winn said. “For young and old, ice cream always puts a smile on your face. It also puts a smile on anyone’s face even if they’ve had a horrible day. When I was a kid my mom and dad would take our family out on Sundays just for ice cream. When my children were little, my wife and I did the same for them.”
