Carnival a hit its first time out

KENT — Saturday, Sept. 1, saw the first, of what, it can be hoped, will be  many Kent Carnivals. 

The Kent thermostat was turned down to a very comfortable 75 degrees, and the number of attending families exceeded all expectations. 

Kent Memorial Library Director Sarah Marshall created the event “in the spirit if the old Fireman’s Fair,” which brought townspeople together for fun, food and community.
