HVRHS accreditation renewed for 10 years

The Region One Board of Education held a special meeting on Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 28, to discuss the report of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges on Housatonic Valley Regional High School (HVRHS).

The school received the report in June.

There was also a letter from NEASC, dated Aug. 15, which summarized the report. HVRHS Principal Ian Strever spoke primarily about the letter.

“First of all, it’s great news,” he said. The school’s accreditation is continued for 10 years.
