Cricket Valley Energy: Protesters picket at rush hour

DOVER — With motorists speeding along Route 22 in Dover, a trio of protesters stood their ground during a demonstration against Cricket Valley Energy (CVE) on Monday, Aug. 6.

Like other protests held against CVE this year, the protesters chanted their opposition to and the need to build awareness of the energy center and its potential hazards.

“We know better, we should be acting better,” said Johanna Fallert, a protester from Poughkeepsie. “It’s like we need a Manhattan Project for energy.”
