Jennie Deane

NORTH CANAAN — Jennie Deane of North Canaan, born on April 28, 1969, to the late Pauline Deane and Walter Deane Sr., passed away on Aug. 4, 2018, at the age of 49.

Jennie grew up in Southfield, Mass., and graduated from Mount Everett High School.

She was a cook and waitress most of her life at many local diners and food establishments.

Jennie was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Phillips whom she idolized in many ways.

She is survived by her son, Kevin, and his wife, Shelby; her grandson, Keagan; her brother, Walter, and his wife, Miriam; her nephew, Dylan; her niece, Mary; and her great-nephew, Grayson.  She loved her son and grandson so much, and they meant the absolute world to her. She will also be missed by her extended large family of aunts, uncles and many cousins.

Jennie lived her life her way, which was a harder life than she deserved.  She was taken away too early in life due to the trouble we are all facing of opioid addiction. In her memory, we ask that you please seek help for yourself and for the ones you would leave behind.

Friends and family members may attend the celebration of life service on Saturday, Aug. 18, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Clayton Church on Canaan Southfield Road in Clayton, Mass.
