Five Captivating Artists at Davis Gallery in Hudson

Set of six bronze figures (life-size) by Christopher Cairns at John Davis Gallery

The expansive spaces at John Davis Gallery in Hudson currently host five solo exhibitions, the main gallery and terrific carriage house allowing room for each of the artists to inhabit their own space. Sculptor Christopher Cairns occupies the main galleries and sculpture garden with “Recognition/Remembrance,” a series of deeply felt pieces in both small and near life-size scale. The artist sees himself as working in the 7,000 -year-old tradition of sculpture, and ideas of life and death, of suffering and love always feel close to the surface.
