Honoring the life of talented John Fitch

LIME ROCK — When John Fitch crossed life’s finish line at the age of 95 on Oct. 31, 2012, three years after his beloved wife, Elizabeth, passed, we lost a widely loved hero. 

Someone who simply refused to be just one thing, Fitch had a career that could easily describe the lifelong efforts of 10 men. Inventor, designer, World War II Army pilot, race car driver, promoter, entrepreneur, auto safety pioneer … that just starts the list of all that John Fitch was.
