Films give students a chance to speak out

FALLS VILALLAGE — Three student films — about immigration, police shootings and the grading policy at Housatonic Valley Regional High School — were shown at the school’s Mahoney-Hewat Science and Technology Center onThursday evening, June 14, to an audience of about 40 people.

English teacher Damon Osora and social studies teacher John Lizzi have, for the past eight years, taught a class called The Civic Life Project (which was affiliated with Dominique Lasseur and Catherine Tatge’s Civic Life Project of student documentaries.)
