Minor bookshelf puzzle

The youngest daughter, Darcie, who lives in Portland, Maine,  recently hosted her older sister, Jessie who was visiting from Olympia, Wash., and her parents (us) from Massachusetts. She worked out a small agenda: music at a down-the-street pub the first evening (Brittany folk tunes, no less), escape from a Victorian locked room the next afternoon (by solving visual and mathematical puzzles having to do with artwork, combination locks and a missing painting) then hear a local author at Longfellow Books downtown.
