NCCC graduates look to bright future

WINSTED — The achievements of the graduates of Northwestern Connecticut Community College (NCCC) were celebrated at the college’s 52nd commencement ceremony on Thursday, May 24, at The Warner Theatre in Torrington.

NCCC President Michael Rooke said that 233 students graduated this year, which is 20 more than were in last year’s class. There are 167 women and 66 men in the Class of 2018; they come from 59 towns across the state and range in age from 19 to 67. “It’s never too late to come on down to take some classes,” Rooke said.
