Salisbury to look at affordable housing

SALISBURY — The Salisbury Board of Selectmen agreed to adopt the Affordable Housing Commission’s affordable housing plan at a special meeting Tuesday, May 15.

Commission members and other interested parties presented the plan to the selectmen at the regular monthly meeting May 7, but the selectmen decided to take a week to think it over.

First Selectman Curtis Rand emphasized that by adopting the plan, the selectmen are not trying to usurp the authority of the Planning and Zoning Commission, nor of the town meeting.
