Candidates for state contests

FALLS VILLAGE — The contests for the November statewide elections is shaping up.

Last week, state Rep. Brian Ohler (R-64) and Democratic challenger Maria Horn of Salisbury received their party endorsements.

State Sen. Craig Miner (R-30) faces a rematch with Democrat David Lawson, the head of the school board in New Milford. Lawson was renominated Monday, May 21, in Bantam at that party’s convention.The state Republican convention endorsed Salisbury’s Thaddeus Gray for state treasurer. He will face Art Linares in the primary.
