Just how contaminated are streams and their complex ecosystems?


MILLBROOK— The next time someone brushes their teeth, uses mouthwash or dyes their hair, think about where the residue is going — and how such small rituals can leave an imprint on streams and lakes.

Aquatic ecologist Emma  Rosi of the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies gave a spirited and knowledgeable presentation at the institute on Friday, April 20. Rosi delivered the information with a dose of humor.
