Erika Palombo takes over as new director of Amenia library

AMENIA— Visitors and patrons stopping by the Amenia Free Library can expect to see a smiling new face from behind the front desk — Erika Palombo — the new library director.

A resident of Hopewell Junction, Palombo first heard about the position through the NYLINE, a listing site used by public libraries across the state for job openings. While her interview in early February marked her first time at the Amenia Free Library, she said she tried to do as much research about the library and the community as she could beforehand.
