Torrington Savings Bank celebrates 150th anniversary

This year marks the 150th anniversary of the founding of Torrington Savings Bank.

According to Marketing Coordinator Andrea Strawinski, the bank was established in 1868 in Torrington by 17 area business and community leaders.

Among the founders were Frank Hungerford, Lyman Coe, Charles Hotchkiss, Bradley Agard and Francis Holley.
