Region to vote on $15 million spending plan on May 1

FALLS VILLAGE — The Region One Board of Education has sent a $15 million spending plan to referendum after a public hearing on Thursday, April 5, at Housatonic Valley Regional High School (HVRHS).

The public hearing was attended by about 10 people. 

The primary complaint about the spending plan was about the phasing out of German at HVRHS. The plan calls for a part-time teacher to teach German 2, 3 and 4 and 5 combined, but no German 1.
