Second meeting further explores Carvel Property Development project


PINE PLAINS— The second meeting in a series about the Carvel Property Development took place on Saturday, March 17, in the Community Room over the library. There were upwards of 80 people present, possibly more, there to hear about the project with plans to build 645 residential units between the towns of Pine Plains and Milan.

At an earlier public meeting held on Feb. 24, Alexander Durst, chief development officer at the Durst Organization — the developer behind the project — spoke of its nearly 15-year history, plan details and hoped-for results.
