Natasha de Elye Cole wins gold in Special Olympics

WEST CORNWALL — West Cornwall resident Natasha de Elye Cole didn’t just walk away with her gold medals from the Special Olympics. She earned them through hard work, training and dogged determination. 

Sports have been a part of her life since she was young, providing focus and passion. At 7 years of age, enrolled at Cornwall Consolidated School, she joined the program of downhill skiing and loved it — even though she often fell. 

But when she fell, she got back up and tried again.
