Planning ahead for summer farm markets

CORNWALL — Out of a final pool of four qualified applicants, the selectmen announced the appointment of a new transfer station operator at their Tuesday, March 6, regular meeting.

Appointed to the position was West Cornwall resident Ted Larson, who will take over duties from Steve O’Neill.  O’Neill has stepped down after 17 years on the job. The selectmen also plan to appoint an assistant operator for the station; they plan to open the position to the three remaining candidates, in addition to advertising it.
