Health insurance a crushing cost

SALISBURY — The Salisbury Board of Finance took a look at the initial budget proposals from the Board of Education and Board of Selectmen on Thursday evening, March 8.

The proposed spending plan for Salisbury Central School for fiscal 2018-19 is $5,656,644, an increase of $235,858 or 4.33 percent over the current budget.

The proposed spending plan for town government is 6,627,485, an increase of $204,752 (3.1 percent) over the current budget.

The fiscal year begins July 1.
