Five of the six towns in the Region One School District took part in Read Aloud Day on Wednesday, Feb. 14. Kent Center School did not participate but will hold its own community reading event in March.

Books this year were donated by The Draper Fund of the Northwest Connecticut Chamber of Commerce. Adults from the community come in and read the selected books to the children in their classrooms; the books are then donated to the schools’ libraries.
