The excitement of Jumpfest will be Feb. 9 to 11

SALISBURY — The ski jumps are back again, at Satre Hill in Salisbury. 

From Feb. 9 to 11, The Salisbury Winter Sports Association (SWSA) will present the highlight event of the winter: the much-loved Jumpfest weekend. 

It all began when Norwegian immigrant John Satre saw a group of children trying to ski off a roof in Salisbury at the home of Judge Don Warner. Satre saw them, politely asked, “Do you mind if I yump?” and the Salisbury ski jump festival was born.
