In photo show, beauty is precarious

FALLS VILLAGE — Photographer Tara Nugent’s exhibit, “The Presence of Absence,” is at the Two Walls Gallery in the library at Housatonic Valley Regional High School (HVRHS) through March 16.

Nugent, who graduated from HVRHS in 2009, said she sees “something beautiful” in ordinary objects, such as precariously tilting outhouses, or a fence made of old, warped boards.

“I know the moment could be gone in minutes.”

Nugent does much of her work in medium-format film — specifically, 120 size film.
