No Connecticut money in offing for new roads

GOSHEN — For the second month in a row, the members of the Northwest Hills Council of Governments heard gloomy fiscal news from a state official.

Commissioner James Redeker of the state Department of Transportation told the 21 COG members on Thursday Jan. 10 that the Special Transportation Fund is unable to meet its obligations and unless action is taken dozens of road and bridge projects will be postponed.
