Town Board adopts 2018 budget following public comment


AMENIA — After much debate from the public, the Amenia Town Board adopted a revised budget for 2018, on Thursday, Nov. 16.

Minutes before the board opened the meeting up for public comment, outgoing town Assessor Wayne Euvrard was standing at the podium, prepared to offer a counterargument pertaining to the budget.

“I have to say I’m quite disappointed and almost disgusted with how the budget process went this year,” Euvrard began.
