11 degrees at 11 a.m. on 11/11 for Veterans Day

KENT — More than 50 community members braved the morning chill on Saturday, Nov. 11, to pay respect to the town’s veterans at the Kent Veterans Day celebration, held at the newly rebuilt Veterans Memorial next to the Swift House in the town center.

Retired Navy Captain Martin Lindenmayer opened with thanks to Kent residents who attended the service, to  members of American Legion Hall-Jennings Post 153, and to all veterans for their service and sacrifice.
