Animal rights advocates speak at museum

WINSTED —  The American Museum of Tort Law held its “Spotlight on Animal Rights” event on Wednesday, Aug 9.

More than 100 residents attended the event which included a lecture by University of Connecticut School of Law Professor Jessica Rubin, State Director of the Humane Society of the United States Annie Hornish and State Rep. Diana Urban (D-43).

Urban is the author of Desmond’s Law which was passed by the State Legislature and signed into law by Gov. Dannel P. Malloy in October 2016.
