Bridge repair project still ‘on schedule’

WINSTED — A project to repair the bridge on Holabird Avenue is on schedule, according to state Department of Transportation Communications Director Kevin Nursick.

The project, which was many years in the works, started in September 2016.

Back in December 2013, the state approved a $2.4 million bond for the project.

When the project was first announced, it was estimated that it would take 500 days for its completion and was expected to be finished by early 2018.
