Sharon teen achieves high Scout rank

SHARON — Liam Sweeney of Sharon recently attained the rank of Eagle Scout. His accomplishment was recognized in a ceremony at the Christ Church Episcopal in Sharon on Saturday, August 12.

Eagle Scout is the highest rank in Boy Scouting. Only 6 percent of Scouts reach that level.

One of the requirements for attaining Eagle Scout is completing a service project helpful to the community or an institution in it. Liam organized and completed the renovation of a pump house in the Sharon Historic District.
