Charter school plans to open in Winsted

WINSTED —  The Connecticut Academy for the Arts (CAFTA) is planning to open a charter school in Winsted some time in 2018, according to the organization’s Executive Director Teresa Sullivan.

Sullivan made the announcement at the Board of Selectmen’s meeting on Monday, Aug. 7.

In an interview after the meeting, Sullivan said that the organization is in the process of applying to the state to operate the charter school.
