Moving gingerly ahead with a blight ordinance

SHARON — While acknowledging the visual realities of farming, the Sharon selectmen moved ahead with plans to make an ordinance to identify and deal with blighted properties at their July 11 meeting.  

A special committee was appointed to draft the ordinance. When its work is completed, and if the new ordinance is enacted, the same committee may assume responsibility for enforcement.

Appointed to the committee are: David and Deb Moore, Deena and Randy Sears, Jamie Casey, Johanna Hahn, Tim Hanson and Selectman Dale Jones.
