Cows and canines at Jack Brown Fair

EAST CANAAN — Northwest Corner 4-H-ers were rewarded with a sunny day on Sunday, July 23, for the annual Jack Brown Fair, held at the East Canaan Congregational Church. Every year, youngsters bring their dogs and dairy cattle to the informal event, which kicks off the agricultural showing season. Local fairs such as this are followed by county, state and then regional fairs.

The dairy show, which is the main part of the Jack Brown Fair, consisted of breed class and showmanship.
